Mother's Day Banter.

Mother's day kicks ass. It would be nice to have money though. You know the saying, "money isn't everything"? I agree with it, but I also think it's outdated. I think we should change it. How about this...

"Money isn't everything, but it sure as fuck helps."

Teach that one to your pre-schooler.

Mom says, instead of sure as fuck, it should be sure as hell helps. She also says that the saying was made up by someone who has money. I believe that.

I'm worried about work. Today when I go in, there are going to be no managers around. Sue (one of the other new hires) and I are going to be there unsupervised, and if we fuck up and our drawers come up short, we have to repay the money out of our own pockets. Not to mention there's still a bunch of shit I don't know. I'm going to have to go there early just to make sure I know everything. That sucks.

On the other hand, it's also pretty exciting. I mean, my boss feels I'm responsible enough to handle it. I love having the responsibility of taking care of the store and making sure that everything runs smoothly.

There was this old fucker who came in with his wife the other day. I rang them up exactly how I was told, and when they wanted to change it, I couldn't do it because I had already charged their card. The dude got all bitchy and pointed his finger all up in my face and shit. Man, it took a lot to not act a fool at that point. I mean, doesn't that guy know how easily I could've ended him? People all of a sudden grow balls when they're talking to somebody from behind a counter. If I ever get rich, I'd like to get a job like the one I have now, and just do my job until someone who thinks they're a bad-ass comes in. And when they talk some shit, everybody in a half-mile radius is going to jail that night.

I talked to Ben Hearn's punk-ass :) yesterday at Exxon, and he used to work at the same gas station I'm working at. If he's short at Exxon, he doesn't have to pay anything there because it's a big corporate chain, unlike the Royal station. That's cool and all, but he also has to wear a uniform and he has to do a lot of shit "by the book". I get to wear whatever I want (pretty much) and I'm given the freedom to fix whatever problems that arise how I see fit. There are pros and cons to each job.

Hey, your mom was nice enough to not let you die when you were a kid, tell her happy mother's day you ungrateful bastard.
